I am a lifelong learner and lover of all things creative and always searching for new ways to explore my passions and for new passions to explore.
My professional experience began in marketing, which shifted organically into publishing and editorial roles. Books—particularly fiction—were my first love, and though sweet potato fries are the love of my life, books still hold a special place in my heart. For that reason, I chose to pursue editing as my career. It’s been a whirlwind romance ever since, and like all relationships, it has changed and grown over the years. I’ve gone from a starry-eyed copyeditor to start-up executive/director (and held many other positions in between). I’m a seasoned publishing project and program manager, who has a secret love affair with spreadsheets.
Along the way, I had the opportunity to work in design in several capacities and found that I particularly enjoy the place where art/design intersects marketing to create beautiful, eloquent branding. I love a holistic approach to integrated brand promotion and finding just the right design approach to boost a brand’s message across all platforms and marketing elements makes my heart sing.
Over the course of my career, I discovered I have a natural love of sharing knowledge. during my two-decades-long career, I have conceived of and produced training materials, courses, presentations, videos, etc. across industries and covering a wide array of topics, from corporate professional development presentations all the way down to editorial style guides, and even taught a children’s theater course at my local co-op.
Wherever life takes me, it will be beautiful, and learning will always be part of the adventure.
